Congratulations to Team NorCal on a great finish at the 2016 Pacific Coast 10’s Exchange that took place September 23-25, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada!
The 10’s Exchange is a section exchange with 12 of our top 10 and Under players (six boys and six girls) who compete during a three day round robin tournament, using green balls. Each match include one round of doubles and one round of singles.
Out of six sections (Southwest, Pacific Northwest, SoCal, Intermountain and Hawaii), Team NorCal fought hard and took home second place after only falling short a total of four games to Intermountain, based on the final grand tally among sections. The margin was so small between these two teams, that only two games separated them during their match. The competition as a whole was extremely close with, for instance, a large number of tiebreakers being played against Team SoCal. For the first time in this competition, Team NorCal beat Team SoCal, by clinching a lot of these tiebreakers, for a final score of 59-39.
Great effort and teamwork from all of the players! Check out all the pictures on our Facebook Page!
