The NorCal Junior Grand Prix Circuit is a seven-month tennis tournament period that links all the NorCal Open junior tournaments from January to July to the final Grand Prix tournament, the NorCal Junior Grand Prix Tournament at Stanford University in August. All NorCal Open junior tournaments that start on or after January 1 and end before August 1 are designated as Grand Prix tournaments.

JUNIOR GRAND PRIX POINTS RACE

The top eight players in each division on the Junior Grand Prix combined ranking lists will be selected to play in the final Junior Grand Prix Tournament, provided that they register for the tournament.

The Grand Prix rankings are calculated using the same method used for the USTA NorCal Final Combined Ranking Lists, except that:
• only the singles and doubles results from the Grand Prix Circuit Tournaments shall be included; and
• a player’s combined ranking will be based on the player’s four (4) best singles and four (4) best doubles Grand Prix Circuit Tournaments.

Players who accumulate Grand Prix ranking points will also accumulate ranking points that will count toward their USTA NorCal junior rankings.

GRAND PRIX PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The number one listed player in each division on the final Grand Prix Points combined ranking list, provided that the player meets the sportsmanship eligibility for selection, will be designated the Grand Prix Player of the Year.

Note: Points earned in the NorCal Junior Grand Prix @ Stanford University do not count toward this award. All Grand Prix winners from each division will be recognized at the end of year at the USTA NorCal Annual Player Party in December.
