USTA Staff would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the players, coaches/team captains, and parents that helped make the 2015 summer season another successful year of USTA Junior Team Tennis in Northern California! We wanted to recap the busy summer season and also take a minute to congratulate all of the JTT Section Championship winners as well as the Gar Glenney Cup and National Championship qualifiers.

JTT Section Championships – Coed Divisions
This event was held on Aug. 1st – 2nd at Laguna Creek Racquet Club in Sacramento, CA. With 26 teams competing in 4 different divisions and over 200 players competing in the event, 4 teams ultimately were crowned Section Champions and qualified for the USTA Junior Team Tennis National Championships in Cayce, SC!

JTT Section Championships – Same Gender Divisions
This event was held on Aug. 8th – 9th at 5 different tennis facilities in Fresno/Clovis, CA. With 65 teams competing in 11 different divisions and over 400 players competing in the event, 11 teams ultimately were crowned Section Champions! Congratulations to all of the Section Championship Winners!

This event was held on Aug. 15th and 16th at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. There were 6 NorCal and 6 SoCal teams that competed in the event. Teams qualified by winning the Same Gender Advanced Divisions at the 2015 JTT Section Championships. NorCal had won 16 times and SoCal had won 16 times previously going into this year’s event. After the last point was played, Team NorCal def. Team SoCal 48-24.
Congratulations to all the players and teams that helped Team NorCal win the Cup for the 4th year in a row! NorCal now leads the overall head to head series 17 – 16 after 33 years!
