Congratulations to the USTA NorCal teams that participated in the 2016 Junior Team Tennis National Championships. The 14 and Under Coed National Championships took place October 13-16, and the 18 and Under Coed National Championships happened October 20-23. Both events were held in Cayce, S.C.!
In the 18 and Under Coed Intermediate division, Youth Tennis Advantage and Los Gatos Tennis Academy finished 13th and 15th respectively. In the 18 and Under Coed Advanced division, the NorCal team from Bay Club Courtside had a great tournament, finishing fifth overall. NorCal easily handled the Midwest team 56 games to 28 in the first playoff match. However, their final match against Texas was a lot tougher, with a final score of 49-46. Congratulations to Maxwell Ho, from the Youth Tennis Advantage team, on winning the Boys Sportsmanship Award! He got the most votes out of all the players!

In the 14 and Under Intermediate division, Willow Glen finished in third place, losing in the semifinals to Delaware Nightmare, from the Middle States Section. In the playoff match, NorCal beat a strong team from Missouri Valley, 53 games to 31. In the 14 and Under Advanced division, Golden Gate Park finished in eighth place, out of 12 teams, but took home the Best Team Banner Award. Congratulations to Olive Maunupau, from the Golden Gate Park team, who won the Girls Sportsmanship Award!
